USC Running back Stefon Johnson needed emergency surgery yesterday after a weightlifting accident. Johnson, who scored the go ahead touchdown against my Ohio State Buckeyes a couple weeks ago, dropped the bar on his throat while lifting, crushing his neck and larynx. After seven hours of surgery, he is in serious but stable condition. Although his football season is over, it looks like he'll be fine. That being said, USC, to me, are like the Yankees of college football. Any time they lose one of their players is just fine with me, but damn, thats a brutal way to get hurt.
i WAS HERE FOR THIS! and i took some great pics and video of Shug and Term sadly when i got home took the memory out of my camera and went to bed at some point the memory card hit the floor, no biggie.. thats until Knuckles found it and ate it...
About a week ago I read that former Boston Celtic Delonte West was arrested on speeding and weapons charges. Unfortunate, but not Crypt worthy, in my opinion. Slowly though, more facts have been coming out. As a precursor, I love Delonte West, he served this team well and was even nice to this dude when I ran into at a local Auto Zone.
Back to the story. Police pulled Delonte over last Thursday night after he cut off a cruiser and was speeding on his Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. Upon search of his person the officer found a handgun in his pocket, another in his pant leg and a shotgun in a guitar case strapped to his back ala Antonio Banderas in Desperado, or Mariachi before that. Police say West was very cooperative throughout the process and was released the next morning on his own personal recognizance. I don't know why he had all those guns but Delonte is welcome back in the Bean anytime.
I've just learned that DJ Grand Master Roc Raida has passed away after having two successful surgeries stemming from a MMA accident/injury. Roc Raida was released to inpatient physical therapy which he seemed to be recovering well for a couple days when he supposedly had some issues this morning and died suddenly. I remember hearing Roc Raida for the 1st on some old X-Men tapes this is before they were called the X-Ecutioners. I also have an old ass Roc Raida disc just murdering shit I believe it was from the DMC championships. He was an incredible DJ and had some of the illest table moves ive seen, I was lucky enough to see him solo and with the X-Exutioners on multiple occasions, It's truly sad to see him gone, the DJ game has truly lost a legend and the grandmaster will be missed.
